Sr. Engineer - Structures
Responsibilities
Development of Electric Powertrain Validation plan (DVP plan) in association with product design team
Organization, planning and managing of in-house and external testing activities
Creating detailed test specifications, test reports for the product team to improvise design
Communication with External testing facilities to perform detailed DVP
Digital Validation of structural parts and assemblies through physical setups
Creation of SOPs for various testing machines and ensure following of SOPs while machine operations
Defining various safety guidelines in the Test lab
Support ongoing/continuous product and process improvement
Support design progression and evolution with multi-disciplinary engineering teams based on your analysis
Drive failure analysis, root cause efforts, and design of experiments to identify and resolve problems
Provide data and technical guidance for product architecture development efforts based on your validation experience
Support design reviews and DFMEAs both component and system wise.
Advance team capabilities using new methods, materials, technologies, and software tools
Skillset Required
Experience in the electric motors or automotive verification and validation process
Good understanding of various testing standards, equipment, machinery etc.
Experience With Motor, Gearbox & drivetrain components design
Demonstrated ability to create products: CAD design to hands-on prototyping
Proficiency in CAD modelling; Autodesk Inventor experience a plus
Experience in any FEA software
Must have experience in design documentation and design development.
Experience defining test plans, designing test setups, and analysing data
Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Experience Required:
Strong engineering foundation at least equivalent to Bachelors/Masters in related fields of Engineering.
4-7 years of prior industry experience
Experience with FSAE, SAE Baja, Solar Car, etc. is a plus.
