Lead - CAE

Responsibilities

  • Provide CAE support by building of highly detailed state of art FEA models.

  • Support design improvements and evolution with multi-disciplinary engineering teams based on your analysis.

  • Drive manufacturing centric vehicle designs with CAE, while balancing all applicable requirements with state-of-the-art design and innovative manufacturing techniques.

  • Perform advanced CAE simulations to evaluate and enhance sub-systems and Motor simulations of specific design attributes and manufacturing processes

  • Develop and apply advanced techniques with smart analysis techniques to drive innovation into Abhinava Rizel products

  • Perform post-test reviews and corroborate the CAE predictions to test results

  • Develop highly predictive models of materials and processes to enable good correlations with physical tests

  • Conduct optimization studies by utilizing optimization tools, including DOE/DFSS techniques on components, assemblies, or Motor designs to meet performance requirements with the constraints of mass and cost

  • Perform analysis for feasibility of manufacturing, assembly, and service processes.

  • Provide input in the creation of component specification, component DFMEA, and other technical design documents where analysis plays a pivotal role

  • Produce concise management summaries and report-outs that meet the needs of management system functions.

  • High skills level in multidisciplinary domains of single and multi-phase CFD, thermal, coupled structural, thermal and NVH, electro-chemical coating, and electrostatics and electromagnetics CAE

  • Evaluate competing simulation approaches using any one of the various development tools (DFMEA, fault tree, decision matrices, etc.)

  • Advance team capabilities through the use of new methods, technologies, and software tools

  • Conduct knowledge sharing and skilling up sessions for the team

  • Drive an innovation-based problem-solving approach in the team

  • Optimize the time and accuracy of the analysis cycles with constant improvements in the technique

  • Optimize and update the performance of the design and team with new suitable developments

Expected Skillset

  • Strong engineering fundamentals in materials and mechanics

  • Deep knowledge of Finite Element Analysis/Finite Volume Method/Smooth Particles Hydrodynamics/CFD/ Applied Solid Mechanics/Material science/Computational Numerical Methods within a product development environment in a transportation industry.

  • Excellent applied experience in any structural FEA software like Autodesk Nastran, Altair Hyperworks, Ansys etc.

  • Demonstrated experience in simulating steady state and transient single and multi-phase fluid flows on sub-systems and full vehicle models for structure, fluid mechanics, electro-magnetism, and thermal

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on pioneering and challenging problems

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver analysis on difficult projects with tight deadlines/constraints

  • Demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex test scenarios with good logic/analytics/root cause analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability in iterative and collaborative automotive-similar engineering environments

  • Experience defining test plans, designing test setups, and analysing data

  • Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint.

Experience Expected

  • Strong engineering foundation at least equivalent to Bachelors/Masters in related fields of Engineering.

  • 8+ years of prior industry experience

  • Experience with FSAE, SAE Baja, Solar Car, etc. is a plus.
